Het Anker is a family business where employees are proactive. Approximately 70 people work at Het Anker. All of these employees contribute to the process of hatching eggs in our own hatchery and then raising the chicks to adulthood. Before the chickens start laying eggs, they are transported to poultry farms in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany using our own trucks.

What does the job entail?
You’ll depart every morning from our Kesteren location in a company car, working as part of a team. You’ll visit poultry farms in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Germany. The work involves vaccinating chickens that are approximately 12 weeks old and loading 17-week-old chickens for transport to the laying farm. You’ll also occasionally help clean the farm so new chicks can be introduced. All new employees receive in-house training.

What does the job entail?

In our layer hatchery, you will be responsible for maintaining our (incubator) equipment and ensuring the chicks can safely leave their eggs. If any malfunctions occur with the (incubator) equipment, you will be the one to complete the job quickly and professionally.
