Innovatie Awards Dutch Pork & Poultry Expo

The Dutch agricultural sector is among the global leaders in innovation. Dutch Pork & Poultry Expo provides a platform for these pioneering companies and innovative solutions. We do this through the Innovation Awards. During the expo, these public awards are presented in two categories: one for the pig sector and one for the poultry sector. All nominated innovations can be viewed in the Innovation Zone.

Before the expo, online voting is open for the nominated innovations. Additionally, visitors can cast their votes during the expo using their Smart Badge. The innovation that receives the most votes wins the coveted public award. This way, pig and poultry farmers have a direct influence on which innovations are crowned as public favorites.

Why participate?

For the exhibition

  • Is your innovation nominated? Then you are part of the ‘Innovation Campaign,’ which includes visibility on our website, on our social media channels, and in visitor mailings.
  • You will receive a personalized banner to gather votes yourself.
    Mention in the official exhibition magazine.
  • Publicity in our large-scale media campaign leading up to the exhibition, including national trade media.

During the exhibition

  • Your innovation will be showcased to the entire sector in the Innovation Zone.
  • Visitors can vote for your innovation by scanning the Smart Badge Reader in the Innovation Zone. This is linked to your innovation, allowing you to receive all these votes (and thus leads) after the exhibition.

After the exhibition

  • You will receive a list of votes, and thus valuable leads to follow up on.
  • You will also gain more visibility on our website, on the ‘Innovation InZicht’ page.

For the winner

  • You can bask in the glory for a whole year.
  • A professional video filmed with an end user of your innovation, worth €1000.
  • This video will be shared through our channels and in national trade media leading up to the next edition.
  • Your innovation will receive a prominent spot at the next edition of the exhibition.

Plettenburg Luchtbehandeling & Ventilatie and Natuurlijk Daglicht are the winners of the 2024 Innovation Awards.

During Dutch Pork & Poultry Expo 2024, two Innovation Awards were presented – one in the category of Pigs and one in the category of Poultry. Visitors actively participated in the voting process, both online before the exhibition and during the event in the Innovation Zone. It was inspiring to see how the agricultural sector is preparing for the future with impressive innovations.

In the Pigs category, Natuurlijk Daglicht won the Innovation Award with their innovation, the TS 750 High Spherical Diffuser. This innovative solution provides optimal natural light in barns, which contributes to animal welfare and leads to more efficient energy use.

In the Poultry category, Plettenburg won the Innovation Award with their innovation: the Biofilter. This system ensures effective air purification in poultry barns and reduces the emission of harmful substances, contributing to a better living environment.

Registrations open for Innovation Awards 2025

During Dutch Pork & Poultry Expo 2025, innovations will once again be central and two Innovation Awards will be presented. Innovations can be registered from now on. A condition for participation in the Innovation Awards is an EasyGo Plus package.
